A turnkey design and build gaming center fit-out in Abu Dhabi, expanding a 450 sqm shell into a 700 sqm double-volume entertainment hub complete with TAQA-approved electrical upgrades and a structural steel mezzanine.

ZED Gaming Center in Khalifa City goes far beyond the concept of a traditional internet cafe. We designed and built this gameroom to be entirely different—featuring private gaming rooms, a custom-built life-sized Monopoly board, a private cinema, dedicated board game zones, an active e-sports competition stage, and full in-house dining.
To accommodate this massive program within the original 450-square-meter unit, Arcave structurally engineered and constructed a heavy-duty steel mezzanine floor. This expansion capitalized on the double volume, bringing the total footprint to 700 square meters of immersive gaming setup fitout.
The Challenge
Massive power loads, extreme heat dissipation, and complex acoustic zoning
The core challenge of this gaming center design was the MEP infrastructure. Modern gaming rigs equipped with high-end GPUs draw immense electrical power and generate significant heat. The unit's existing electrical network was fundamentally insufficient to support the load safely. Furthermore, the raw shell lacked any plumbing infrastructure, which was mandatory for the planned kitchen, refreshment stations, and newly built restrooms.
Acoustics presented another major design hurdle. Integrating a private cinema directly adjacent to a high-decibel e-sports competition arena required serious structural acoustic isolation to prevent sound bleed. Controlling the atmosphere also meant engineering a dynamic RGB lighting network that could shift tones across different zones without overwhelming the players' screens.
Arcave's Solution
TAQA-approved 100A upgrades and intelligent acoustic cladding
Arcave calculated the precise MEP and thermal requirements to guarantee system stability. We executed a complete electrical network upgrade to a heavy-duty 100A supply, strictly adhering to TAQA approval standards, paired with targeted HVAC cooling upgrades to dissipate the heat generated by the PCs. We trenched and installed a completely new plumbing network from scratch to serve the full commercial kitchen and ablution blocks.
To solve the noise bleed, we constructed multi-layer acoustic walls finished with specialized sound-absorbing cladding, ensuring the private cinema and VIP gaming rooms remained dead quiet while the e-sports stage roared. As a premier gaming center fitout company, we achieved this premium aesthetic by strategically sourcing highly durable, cost-effective materials. This allowed us to deliver an elite gameroom design, a complex structural mezzanine, and full custom RGB lighting control without compromising the client's budget, efficiency, or build quality.
